February 1, one year ago, we saw the boys faces for the first time! It was an amazingly exciting day- one that is a blur and one I won't ever forget! Their pictures are kind of sad to look at now- Abuzaid looks so sad in his and Kalid looks much tougher than I'm sure he was feeling. We fell in love with the boys a year ago- I've been their momma since that day for sure! I showed everyone I could their pictures. Shane was still in shock for a while on that day, but now, he couldn't imagine it turning out any differently!
All the boys are celebrating today. They've been making drawings to hang up and cut-outs of everyone. I'm going to make some Ethiopian Spiced Honey bread- our new any/special occasion bread- it's amazing! It's a cold day off from school- just because of the cold, not snow- we only have a dusting. It's about 30 degrees below zero with the wind chill. So we're home and celebrating our boys and that day where we became a family in our hearts.
