Follow up....

And the follow up post to getting our house under contract is... we put an offer on a house and it was accepted! This was just all God- it was amazing to see how all these pieces from the last 4+ months have fit together. The new house just came on the market Tuesday (the day we got under contract). We went out looking at houses Wednesday and stopped at that one just because we liked the neighborhood, but it didn't make the top pick and we put an offer on another house. That house was completely overpriced and the offer we gave was countered with a final offer from them that we couldn't live with. We were a little nervous to give it up because it had a ton of space which is the whole reason we're moving. So anyway- we had to relook at houses on Friday and this one just jumped out at us and we both knew right away that we needed to put an offer on it. We offered $5000 under asking price and they accepted with no counter! It is an all brick ranch in a neighborhood that is awesome. We actually live across the road from a golf course and the house backs up to open space along with having a large yard. The inside has almost 2000 sq. ft. on the main level and 2000 in the basement. There is a HUGE amount of space for the boys to just run- inside and out, which is what we wanted. We will be able to have my family or lots of friends over and have plenty of room- might have to get some more furniture for them to sleep on, though:). It's very 70s, but it's move in ready. We'll have to embrace the 70s for a while, which we have proven to be very good at in our last 2 homes:).
Anyway- we are all beyond thrilled. After we saw it (the boys came with us the 2nd time we saw it), Jonah was writing down what each of the rooms would be used for and was just going to be devastated if we lost it. We prayed for God's timing and He gave it to us- I was SOOO sick of cleaning my house all the time, but getting this house is so much more than we could've asked for- not a perfect home by any stretch, but an absolutely perfect home for us!!!! Praise God!!
