Opening up

Abuzaid has been so tight-lipped about Ethiopia for the last few months. But in the last couple of weeks, he's really starting to open up. He actually brought up his mom today as well as his sister and just seemed to want to talk about it. This is really cool, as we have wanted to know more, but didn't want to push him. Sometimes, I still thinks he gets some details mixed up and throws some things that have happened in America in there, but the general idea is there and I'm so excited!
Kalid is really too little to remember much about home, so he always makes things up just to be funny.:)
It'll be 9 months ago tomorrow that we met them. It's been a great 9 months! I know sometimes people probably think that I gloss over the 'bad' stuff on this blog to make it sound better than it is. But I promise that our biggest issues have nothing to do with adoption and everything to do with 4 boys, close in age, playing hard together. Sibling stuff happens- regardless of whether it's adoptive or biological siblings. Jonah and Landon fought long before Kalid and Abuzaid showed up:).
Maybe we just have had a really long honeymoon phase, but they have truly adapted so well. Hoping when we move next week that it all goes smoothly- I'm sure there might be some things that could pop up with that change, but that goes for the older 2 as well! (and for me, for that matter- so excited to move to get more space, but sad to leave my neighbors and my home I brought all 4 of my babies home to!)

One more thing- yesterday was an amazing day because of 2 very special friends. I got my socks blessed off yesterday with some amazing generosity, not once, but twice! So, if you're reading this (and I think you are:)), THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

Ok- one more thing again- here's a quote from Kalid today that made me laugh (as lots of his quotes do)- "I like big hair, Momma, but not big jackets."
