Wanted to write a blog post about one of my favorite people in the whole world, who also read my blog faithfully and would email me about it. My great- Aunt Helen passed away today. She was 90- would've been 91 in 6 days. She lived a life with no regrets and was always learning and growing. She never married or had children, so her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews (like me ), and great-great nieces and nephews (like my boys and all of their cousins) were like her children. She was always like a grandma to me. She loved us unconditionally, knew all that we were up to, supported us in everything we did, and just took the time to be with us. She traveled around the world and had friends everywhere! I was blessed that she retired in Colorado because from the time I was in high school, she was there. She was always at our family dinners and parties. I loved going over and just visiting with her. She could talk to you about anything. She always talked about loving the teenage years (she was a high school teacher). She told me last night that she would miss seeing all the great-greats as teenagers. We will miss her too. She loved the Lord and I know she's probably sitting at Jesus' feet soaking in all He has to say. She was an inspiration to me. I'm thankful that I could be there in her final days- to love her and comfort her. You are amazing, Aunt Helen- I will see you when I get there! Much love.......
