Our homestudy update is finally back from the state which means our dossier can now head out to DC and then on to Addis!!!!! We've been waiting for this since without our dossier being there, there's nothing you can do but wait. Once the dossier gets translated and authenticated, we should be able to be submitted to court. We still don't know when that will be, but at least it's on the way and things can potentially start happening!! I sent in our I600A to the USCIS (immigration) yesterday. That will take a little while for them to process it, then we'll go to Aurora for some biometric fingerprints, then get the very important piece of paper (171H) that will allow us to bring T into the country. So it's progress!
Also in the mail yesterday, we got a video from a friend who traveled just a few weeks ago to bring home her son. She sat the big boys (T and his friends Z and L) down for a little interview (through translation). T seemed like the quiet one of the bunch, but I'm pretty sure that's just because the camera was out. They said how old they are (T said 8), what their favorite color is (green), what they wish for (a motorcycle:)), and then sang a song about the 5 senses. Priceless! I watched it a couple times yesterday- love it! Can't wait to be able to be there to hug him!!!
