Last visit

We had our last visit with Sheri last night. She'll get it all typed up and then we'll meet with her next weekend to go over before she officially gets it approved by the state. She's waiting on our fingerprints, which will hopefully come next week sometime. So basically the process is that we wait to get the approved home study sent to us and then we will send it to immigration with some paperwork and money. We'll wait for them to approve it all and send us an appt. time to go to Denver and get more fingerprints done at the immigration office. After that's approved, it will be our official document that says we can bring a child from Ethiopia into the country. In the meantime, the dossier will go to the Ethiopian government for translation and approval as well. The next step will be to get a referral for a child. Then we will get a court date and 6-8 weeks after we've passed court, we will travel. So lots of stuff has been done, but lots more needs to be done (most of which I can't do anything about- just wait). In the meantime, I'll keep praying and reading lots of books about adoption. I figured out today that it's only been 3 1/2 weeks since we did our initial application. I can't believe it's only been that long- so much has happened and it feels like forever since this has been the decision of our hearts. SOOO excited!!!!
