So much news today

We went to our IAN training yesterday. It was a pretty heavy one, but I always love getting together with others that are adopting from ET! One of the other coordinators was there giving the updates about the possible new law- they're not for sure yet if it's happening. They're waiting for the court president to say yes or no about it. Even if he says yes, they don't know when it would start. Maybe more news this week. She did say that anyone, like us, who has a referral and not a court date yet- that they're trying to get all of those court dates scheduled before the end of March- that's soon!
She also sent us some video of the boys- it was fun to see them in motion, even if it was just some smiling and waving:).
She also sent us their developmental checks that another mom did a couple weeks ago when she was there. Here's what we know now:
A- He's 4/5 years old she said (that's kind of what we figured)- 32 pounds, 41.5 inches tall and wears an 11.5 shoe. He has an adult tooth coming in, he's very smiley, follows instructions, likes to play with other kids, timid but sweet and has a great smile (which we already knew:)).
K- He's 3, weighs 28 pounds, is 33.5 inches tall and wears 8.5/9 shoes. He can go up and down the stairs, can copy a circle drawing, follows commands to wave, very curious, dresses himself, very sweet and quiet and smiley:).
They always look bigger in the pictures, but when we look at those measurements and were comparing them to the size of our 18 month old nephews and 3 year old nephew, K is only 2 inches taller than the twins and A is 4 inches taller than Carter who is turning 3 next week. So they're little, but they've gained weight since they've been at the care center which I can tell just in the pics. I know they're receiving great care- I'm ready to go get them!!!!

  1. Amy--Oh we wanted to go to the training yesterday ... we didn't want our sitter on the icy roads so we'll have to go next time. We're still in home study/dossier mode so we have some time.

Just wanted to drop a note to send big warm wishes for such great updates on your boys. :)
