Wow!

I was just looking through the boys' medical records from last year about this time. Abuzaid only weighed 26 pounds and Kalid weighed 22 pounds! Wow- that means that, in this year, Abuzaid has gained 19 pounds since he came to the orphanage and Kalid gained 14 pounds! That's absolutely incredible! We're heading to Denver today to be on the adoptive parent panel for our agency's training. Last time we went, someone changed their hearts and decided to adopt older kids (still love that!!!). Praying that we can be of assistance in some way today! There's lots of craziness and difficulty going on right now with Ethiopian adoptions- so different than our experience. I'm praying for all the people waiting and waiting to bring their kids home! We also will be going to an Ethiopian church in Aurora for their Christmas celebration (Ethiopians celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7). Should be lots of fun! Abuzaid doesn't want to go- he says he only likes America and wants nothing to do with Ethiopia. It's sad- I know why he's feeling that way, but it's still sad to see it and hear it. I think he'll have a good time once we're there, though. Happy Saturday!
